Job Description
Associate AI/ML Engineer developing AI functionality and improving applications at GDIT. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, code, and test conversational AI systems.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of conversational ai/agentic functionalities
- Write clean, efficient, and well documented code
- Contribute to the development of custom integrations between conversational AI and other enterprise systems
- Participate in code reviews
- Work with large language models (LLMs) to fine-tune prompts and improve agent performance
- Collaborate with senior developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders
- Stay up to date on the latest trends and technologies in AI
Requirements:
- Up to 1 year of preferred experience
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript)
- Basic understanding of Agile software development methodology
- Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Understanding of APIs and RESTful services
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of database concepts and SQL
- 1 of the following certifications at minimum: Security+ CE, SecurityX / CASP+, SSCP, CCSP, CCNP Security, Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, GFACT
- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
- US Citizenship Required: Yes
