Job Description
Mid-level AWS Lex Developer specializing in building intelligent bots using AWS Lex and Python. Collaborates with teams to design, develop, and maintain conversational solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain AWS Lex (V1/V2) skill bots for chat and voice channels.
- Implement intents, slots, utterances, and fulfillment logic using AWS Lambda with Python.
- Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Integrate bots with backend APIs, databases, and AWS services (e.g., DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3).
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and optimization to ensure accurate and scalable bot responses.
- Support deployment, monitoring, and post-go-live enhancements.
- Document conversation flows, bot architecture, and integration details for future reference.
- Collaborate with QA, UX, and platform teams for end-to-end solution delivery.
Requirements:
- 4+ years hands-on experience in AWS Lex (V1 or V2) and skill bot development.
- Strong Python programming skills for Lambda functions and API integration.
- Experience in NLU, intent classification, and conversation flow design.
- Familiarity with Amazon Connect or other contact center integrations.
- Knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and CloudWatch.
- Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into scalable conversational solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
- Nice to Have: Exposure to Google Dialogflow or other conversational AI platforms.
- Experience with multi-channel deployments (Web, IVR, WhatsApp).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, or DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.
