Job Description
Business Central Functional Consultant ensuring effective Microsoft Dynamics 365 design and integration with existing systems for digital transformation. Focusing on ERP customisation and stakeholder collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Configure, develop, and extend Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to meet operational and financial process requirements.
- Design, build, and maintain integrations between Business Central and SQL - based custom systems using Power Automate, API endpoints, and data connectors.
- Work closely with the Business Systems Architects to define optimal solution architecture and integration patterns.
- Engage directly with business stakeholders to analyse workflows, gather requirements, and translate them into system design specifications.
- Participate in Agile processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and showcase reviews.
- Create and maintain comprehensive solution documentation (technical designs, data mappings, integration flows, and user procedures).
- Collaborate with QA and operations teams to ensure robust testing, deployment, and change management processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across data integrity, automation, and process optimisation.
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience implementing and customising ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Experience developing integrations using Power Automate, REST APIs, and SQL based systems.
- Exposure to accounting, finance, inventory, and service management modules.
- Experience working within Agile Scrum environments delivering incremental value to stakeholders.
- Consulting or client-facing experience within a Managed Services or IT Service provider organisation (desirable).
- **Technical Knowledge:**
- Business Central AL language, extensions, and environment management.
- Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).
- Microsoft Dataverse and Azure integration patterns.
- SQL Server and T-SQL scripting.
- Understanding of secure integration principles and data governance.
