Job Description
Business Development Director developing relationships with utility decision-makers to drive revenue growth. Creating long-term partnerships in the energy efficiency industry at Michaels Energy.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and foster relationships with utility decision-makers and influencers to drive revenue growth
- Create and execute a multi-year sales plan to engage utilities and promote Programs and Research & Evaluation business lines
- Network with stakeholders, policy makers, and influencers in the industry
- Conduct capability presentations with potential clients and partners
- Attend and represent Michaels Energy at industry conferences and events
- Meet regularly with internal teams to share prospect, partner, and market intel
- Assist proposal team in identifying strategic partners as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
- MBA is preferred
- 5 to 8 years of sales experience in energy efficiency or load management industries
- Existing industry connections
- Proven track record of closing large deals
- Ability to travel up to 50% to conferences, industry events, and client meetings
