Job Description

Business Development Director developing relationships with utility decision-makers to drive revenue growth. Creating long-term partnerships in the energy efficiency industry at Michaels Energy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and foster relationships with utility decision-makers and influencers to drive revenue growth
  • Create and execute a multi-year sales plan to engage utilities and promote Programs and Research & Evaluation business lines
  • Network with stakeholders, policy makers, and influencers in the industry
  • Conduct capability presentations with potential clients and partners
  • Attend and represent Michaels Energy at industry conferences and events
  • Meet regularly with internal teams to share prospect, partner, and market intel
  • Assist proposal team in identifying strategic partners as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
  • MBA is preferred
  • 5 to 8 years of sales experience in energy efficiency or load management industries
  • Existing industry connections
  • Proven track record of closing large deals
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to conferences, industry events, and client meetings
