Job Description
Business Development Executive driving new customer acquisitions and engagement in the Calibration sector. Focused on market share expansion for SGS’s services.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and win new business from prospects and lapsed clients.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations and business cases to customers.
- Maximise revenue opportunities within new and existing client accounts.
- Work collaboratively across business units to promote SGS’s full suite of services.
- Maintain up-to-date records using SGS CRM systems in line with KPI expectations.
- Remain informed of market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes.
- Act in accordance with SGS Responsible Sales & Marketing and Code of Integrity policies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a technical B2B sales role.
- Strong track record in new business development and account growth.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with CRM systems and a performance-driven sales environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with a consultative, value-based sales approach.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Willingness to travel and stay away from home as required (including internationally).
- IT literate (MS Office and CRM tools).
- Sales qualification or significant relevant experience; full, clean UK driving license.
- Degree in a technical, engineering, or scientific discipline; professional certifications (Prince2, Six Sigma, NVQ, etc.).
