Job Description

Business Director, Immunology leading a field-based team to drive sales for Lilly products. Develops strategies and trains Territory Managers in compliance with sales guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a field-based team of Territory Managers to drive the sale and promotion of Lilly products within a defined geography.
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies, meeting, and exceeding sales goals and achieving all other key operational goals.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, coaching and developing your Territory Managers.
  • Execute the defined strategy, including business planning and performance metrics, alliance partnership/collaboration, resource planning, market access and pull-through, and leadership of the sales force—while leading the business in compliance with all Vanigent sales guidelines.
  • Motivate and develop a team of Territory Managers, building capabilities and driving overall territory performance against sales, access, and compliance goals.
  • Identify and monitor multiple local market conditions to build and support strong customer relationships while driving product-promotion solutions and executing marketing strategies.
  • Monitor field activities to ensure all are within compliance guidelines and provide timely feedback on marketing tactics and market conditions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, advanced degree is preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience as a district or regional first-line manager required
  • 10+ years of commercial pharmaceutical experience
  • Immunology experience is highly preferred
  • Documented history and proven track record of sales success
  • Valid driver’s license with safe driving record that meets Vanigent requirements
  • Ability to meet travel demands - 70% field time and other travel as necessary, including overnights and/or weekends
  • Must pass background check and drug screening
  • Preference for the BD to live in the district boundaries
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a district, create and execute strategic plans and drive results through others
  • Ability to develop, recruit and hire top talent
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong analytical capability
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office software
