Job Description

CAD Designer developing and maintaining detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using advanced CAD software. Collaborating with engineers and project managers to align design objectives with project goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using advanced CAD software to meet project requirements.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accurate design implementation.
  • Conduct design validation, tolerance analysis, and feasibility checks to ensure functionality and manufacturability.
  • Identify design issues and propose cost-effective, practical solutions to optimize performance and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to align design objectives with project goals.

Requirements:

  • Advanced proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, NX, Revit, etc., depending on domain)
  • Strong ability to create complex 2D drawings and 3D models with high accuracy
  • Expertise in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and industry design standards
  • Experience in drafting manufacturing/production-ready drawings, assemblies, and BOMs
  • Ability to identify design issues and propose cost-effective and practical solutions
  • Experience with design validation, tolerance analysis, and feasibility checks
  • Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems and configuration management
  • Strong collaboration skills with engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and fabrication techniques
  • Ability to manage design iterations and handle change requests efficiently
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
