Job Description
Consulting Engagement Manager leading client projects at a Vancouver-based tech company. Building strong customer relationships and driving transformative technology advancements for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day execution of client projects while guiding and developing individual team members.
- Own and lead client project work including gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses and developing recommendations for presentations to client management.
- Lead the implementation of recommendations with the client team members.
- Manage all aspects of a client project, by building and nurturing deep relationships with project stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor who understands their unique business objectives, processes and challenges, and leading the delivery of the identified solution.
- Simplify and bring structure to ambiguous problems and take action to solve them by focusing on the most important challenges.
- Actively identify and develop further opportunities within the client environment.
- Serve as the day-to-day liaison between the customer and our internal teams, communicating effectively with all audiences, including senior leaders in a structured manner.
- Deeply understand program success criteria and aligning the team on how to achieve it.
- Lead the definition and deeply understand the work packages making up the solution and their contribution to success.
- Translate gaps or risks into insights that anticipate customer needs and proactively suggest improvements or new solutions.
- Monitor the progress of customer engagements along with the project manager.
- Act as the voice of the customer, providing insight to internal teams to improve products, services and processes.
- Build and maintain program roadmaps.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of proven experience as a consultant in a professional services firm; work experience in the Big 4 Consulting firm is preferred.
- Ability to take business problems and create strong business case solutions, using technology.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization.
- Proactive mindset with a passion for uncovering new opportunities and driving continuous improvement.
- Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously.
- Experience in business consulting and analysis: Agile Theory, Business Process Analysis, Procedure Development, Requirements Gathering.
- Experience in project management.
