Job Description

Business Developer managing agency relationships within Great American Insurance Group's Crop Division. Engaging in marketing, managing territory, and ensuring effective agency performance across Central/Southern Iowa.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing a productive agency plant/territory.
  • Develops marketing plan for assigned territory.
  • Prospects, appoints, and manages agency relationships.
  • Reviews and analyzes agents' production and results.
  • Acts as a liaison between company and producer.
  • Markets company products and services to agencies.
  • Gathers, analyzes, and maintains competitive information.
  • Monitors persistency, placement, and agent/agency debt.
  • Binds risks in field, within level of authority.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Generally, a minimum of 6 months of related experience in sales and/or agriculture.
  • Foundational understanding of agency dynamics, marketing, underwriting, and risk management.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Demonstrated decision-making ability and customer-centric mindset.
