Job Description
Business Developer managing agency relationships within Great American Insurance Group's Crop Division. Engaging in marketing, managing territory, and ensuring effective agency performance across Central/Southern Iowa.
Responsibilities:
- Developing a productive agency plant/territory.
- Develops marketing plan for assigned territory.
- Prospects, appoints, and manages agency relationships.
- Reviews and analyzes agents' production and results.
- Acts as a liaison between company and producer.
- Markets company products and services to agencies.
- Gathers, analyzes, and maintains competitive information.
- Monitors persistency, placement, and agent/agency debt.
- Binds risks in field, within level of authority.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- Generally, a minimum of 6 months of related experience in sales and/or agriculture.
- Foundational understanding of agency dynamics, marketing, underwriting, and risk management.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.
- Demonstrated decision-making ability and customer-centric mindset.
