Job Description
Manager, Finance & Accounting overseeing general ledger accounting and internal/external reporting. Serving as a key resource to Finance Leadership at Doma Technology.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate closing of the books for monthly, quarterly, and annual periods
- Drive month-end close improvement, including optimized use of systems and integrations
- Identify process improvement and/or automation opportunities and implement solutions
- Support the Controller to facilitate monthly account reconciliation reviews
- Collaborate with the Business and Executives in developing financial analyses and reporting
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and assist other functions with the Accounting Team
- Build and develop a high-performing team through training
- Promote Doma’s cultural values
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- 7 - 10 years of experience
- Major ERP system experience, NetSuite experience preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, strong Excel skills preferred
- Understanding of GAAP accounting
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team player who works well in a changing environment
