Job Description
Freelance linguist translating and editing legal documents from Georgian to English. Delivering high-quality transcription and translation services remotely for Global Language Strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate translation and editing of legal documents
- Edit audio transcriptions including slang and idioms
- Edit legal documents with strong command of terminology
- Follow the client's style guides and quality standards
- Use domain-specific terminology
- Review and certify translators’ work quality as needed
- Highly proficient in MS Office, mirroring source document format
- Familiar with CAT tools
Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship willing to undergo government background check
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2 to 3 years experience in translation/editing
- 2 to 3 years experience in audio transcription
- Familiar with legal terminology in both English and the target language
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proficient in CAT tools like Trados
