Job Description

Freelance linguist translating and editing legal documents from Georgian to English. Delivering high-quality transcription and translation services remotely for Global Language Strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate translation and editing of legal documents
  • Edit audio transcriptions including slang and idioms
  • Edit legal documents with strong command of terminology
  • Follow the client's style guides and quality standards
  • Use domain-specific terminology
  • Review and certify translators’ work quality as needed
  • Highly proficient in MS Office, mirroring source document format
  • Familiar with CAT tools

Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship willing to undergo government background check
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 to 3 years experience in translation/editing
  • 2 to 3 years experience in audio transcription
  • Familiar with legal terminology in both English and the target language
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in CAT tools like Trados
