Job Description

Global FCM Manager driving business growth and sustainability initiatives for SGS, a testing and certification leader. Focused on food-contacted materials, industry trends, and client relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Growth: Direct and develop profitable and sustainable business.
  • Ensure Financial Performance: Ensure FCM activity meets financial objective, define strategic plan for FCM including both greenfield growth initiatives and acquisition.
  • Lead Business Development: Support global FCM business development covering but not limited to industries of cookware, tableware, cutlery, and other articles & materials in contact with Food.
  • Understand the Market: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for business growth.
  • Build Relationship: Establish and maintain a strong network of clients, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with internal affiliates / teams, including R&D in new or recycled materials, manufacturing, and logistics.
  • Promote Our Solutions: Develop and governance execution of effective sales / marketing strategies to promote our FCM solutions.
  • Create Tailored Proposals: Develop compelling and customized proposals that align with client needs and showcase the value of our FCM solutions.
  • Drive Excellence: Drive sustainable business growth by meeting or exceeding revenue targets set by the company's leadership.
  • Report on Performance: Provide regular reports and updates to senior management regarding sales performance, market insights, and growth opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the chemical industry or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of FCM or chemistry related industrial / customers trends, suppliers movement, materials development trends, and sustainability practices.
  • Experience in working within a matrix organization.
  • Strong strategic thinking, relationship building, and execution skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on sustainable growth.
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and any additional European language.
