Job Description
Junior QA Engineer ensuring the quality of web and mobile applications used by major companies in Latin America. Join Wave's engineering team for hands-on experience and growth opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Execute functional, exploratory, and regression tests on web and mobile applications.
- Create and maintain test cases and validation scenarios.
- Report and track bugs in management tools, collaborating with the development team on fixes.
- Participate in team ceremonies (dailies, plannings, refinements, and retrospectives).
- Support weekly test planning and the organization of quality activities.
- Contribute ideas to improve processes, documentation, and QA best practices.
- Help provide visibility into what has been tested and validated to the team.
Requirements:
- Organized and responsible in carrying out tasks, knowing when to ask for support.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Open to learning, receiving feedback, and continuously improving.
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Proactive and curious to learn.
- Entry-level experience in QA/software testing.
- Knowledge of functional, exploratory, and regression testing.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
- Basic knowledge of API testing (Postman, Insomnia, SoapUI, or similar).
- Basic knowledge of version control with Git.
- Familiarity with bug and task tracking tools (Jira, GitHub Issues, or similar).
- Creation and maintenance of test cases and validation scenarios.
- Experience with or interest in mobile testing (Android / iOS) — nice to have.
- Basic knowledge of test automation — nice to have.
