Job Description
Technical Support Technician handling first and second level support for IT systems. Assisting with software installations, desktop and network troubleshooting while working remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Log and manage tickets, addressing Level 1 and Level 2 requests;
- Provide support for operating systems and software installation, Microsoft Office, networks, printers and peripherals, as well as maintenance of desktops and laptops;
- Perform directory/drive mapping, configure POP/Exchange email and Lotus Notes, set up user profiles, install VPN, and perform IP configuration;
- Monitor, respond to and update tickets in the ticketing system to prevent queues that could compromise the project SLA, and minimize ticket backlog as much as possible;
- Create and update the knowledge base, procedures, support scripts and troubleshooting documentation in the KCS portal.
Requirements:
- Basic IT knowledge
- High school diploma
- Availability to start immediately
- Good verbal communication skills
- Good written communication
- Currently pursuing a university degree in a Technology-related field
- Knowledge of network troubleshooting, PC hardware and software troubleshooting, Service Desk tools, operating systems and Microsoft Office
