Job Description

Key Account Manager driving sales growth for energy providers in Germany. Analyzing market conditions and building strong relationships with decision-makers in the energy sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Secure and increase revenues with energy utilities (EVUs) through comprehensive analysis of the market environment (definition of customer- and process-relevant KPIs for the market), including deriving/planning potential and defining medium- and long-term growth targets for the German market
  • Derive recommendations for action (process and structural adjustments, product and service strategies, pricing and discount systems, development of a sales and marketing concept)
  • Build and maintain networks in the market environment with decision-makers and influencers
  • Structure and expand existing customers (farming) and, where appropriate, transition them into key accounts; generate contacts (lead-hunting)
  • Direct, personal management of A-customers
  • Prepare and conduct negotiations in cooperation with field sales for B and C customers
  • Expand synergies with the field sales organization

Requirements:

  • Completed technical or business-related university degree
  • Relevant professional experience (minimum 5 years) in sales, ideally in multichannel sales (channel management) or in key account management including project management
  • Very good knowledge of the industry and market participants and of changing business models driven by digitalization (e.g., integrated energy management) in the utilities environment
  • High adaptability to changing market influences on sales concepts
  • Strong process orientation and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Negotiation-level proficiency in German and English, including strong verbal and presentation skills.
