Job Description

Lead Animal Welfare Auditor at SGS, ensuring compliance with animal welfare programs through on-site audits. Managing a team and communicating with clients in the dairy farming industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site audits at farms to ensure compliance with quality programs related to animal welfare, hygiene, and milk quality
  • Manage clear and consistent communication with the client as their local point of contact
  • Plan and manage your own audit schedule
  • Manage a team of auditors and facilitate coaching and training
  • Travel regularly, with occasional overnight stays depending on your location.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience in agriculture, particularly in dairy farming
  • Solid understanding of animal welfare
  • Post secondary education in agriculture or similar relevant subject
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to share knowledge in a respectful and engaging way
  • Proficiency in English, written and spoken
  • Driving license
  • Good IT skills and comfort with digital tools
  • Previous experience in a leadership/managerial position (Desirable)
  • Previous experience in auditing or inspection roles (Desirable)
