Job Description

Market Manager leading operations and ensuring customer satisfaction at BILLA in Germany. Responsible for employee training, economic success, and quality standards across all market areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Professional and disciplinary leadership, training, and motivation of employees
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and building long-term customer relationships
  • Responsibility for the economic success of the market
  • Responsibility for inventory and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Interpreting various (KPI) reports and proactively deriving and implementing appropriate measures
  • Responsibility for goods ordering, product presentation, and correct price labeling
  • Daily assurance of market standards
  • Ongoing quality and freshness checks
  • Ensuring and complying with quality standards and legal requirements
  • First point of contact for all internal and external interfaces (authorities, central departments, ... )

Requirements:

  • Completed education, e.g., Matura (high school diploma) or vocational training in retail or hospitality is an advantage
  • Several years of professional experience in retail and/or hospitality
  • Leadership experience in a comparable position (e.g., as a branch/store manager)
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform under time pressure
  • Strong customer service and advisory skills; excellent communication abilities
  • Enjoyment of working with people, social skills, empathy, and teamwork
  • High motivation and enthusiasm
  • Assertiveness, confident appearance, and conflict-management skills
  • Organizational and planning skills
  • Analytical skills and an entrepreneurial mindset, with a strong affinity for KPIs
