Job Description
Packaging Engineer responsible for global packaging strategies and compliance in a leading chemical solutions company. Leading cross-functional teams to enhance sustainability and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Owns global packaging evaluation and specification for new products
- Responsible for leading a cross functional team to define the global packaging strategy
- Define, document, and ensure consistent compliance across the organization for chemical testing and physical performance testing
- Provides technical expertise to quality and EHS for investigation of packaging related customer complaints
- Provide technical training for internal and external stakeholders
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Position may require up to 50% travel
Requirements:
- BS in Chemical Engineer or Packaging Engineer
- 5-10 years of demonstrated package engineering experience within the chemical industries
- Strong technical understanding of global industrial chemical packaging materials and production processes
- Knowledge of global regulatory requirements and safety standards for hazardous goods packaging
- Analytical and conceptual thinking
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in an international environment
