Job Description
People Operations Manager at beehiiv overseeing employee lifecycle and fostering workplace culture. Enhancing people operations and collaborating with a globally distributed team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all stages of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, compliance, offboarding, and systems administration.
- Work closely with our EOR and PEO (Remote and Justworks) on all HR-related issues and questions.
- Maintain accurate data and reporting, utilizing our HRIS (BambooHR) to drive efficiencies in People processes.
- Collaborate and own end-to-end recruiting efforts, including drafting job descriptions, salary benchmarking, interview scheduling, and offer extension.
- Facilitate new-hire onboarding to ensure an organized, positive first day.
- Partner with the Head of People Operations to work with managers and employees on performance management, coaching, and development.
- Manage leaves of absence, PTO and holiday programs, offboardings, and employee separation processes.
- Update our employee handbook and A-Team Playbook policies to align with company values, safety requirements, and regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employees for all things People Operations-related issues.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in human resources, people operations, recruiting, or another people-related position at a hypergrowth startup or SaaS environment
- Ability to be discreet with confidential information and to exercise sound judgment
- The ability to deliver and communicate clearly and concisely
- The drive to take on any task, no matter how small
- Culturally aware and able to build trust, credibility, and relationships to foster a connected and focused work culture
- Ability to maintain composure and provide thoughtful guidance to employees when in conflict or high-stress situations
- Demonstrated experience as a driven, resourceful, and quick learner
- Expert in managing multiple tasks simultaneously and adept at prioritizing in dynamic environments, ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks
- Experience working remotely and maintaining/developing company culture
- Serve as the expert on labor laws and compliance nationally and globally as we expand (covering both employees and contractors); this would be a strong preference
- Partner with Legal and Finance to maintain compliance in hiring, classification, payroll, and benefits.
- Has a growth mindset toward new tools and digital processes; comfortable with our tech stack (Slack, Gmail, BambooHR, Justworks, Remote, Aidora, etc)
