Job Description
MDP Platform Engineer III designing and optimizing Azure platform solutions for CareSource. Aligning cloud architecture strategies with business objectives and driving innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute Azure cloud architecture solutions that are secure, reliable, cost-effective, and aligned with business needs
- Create strategies and implementation plans for integrating new technology solutions, focusing on Databricks and Azure services
- Drive innovation in platform solutions to enhance business functionality, efficiency, and scalability
- Maintain effective communication with IT and key business stakeholders regarding technology priorities and deliverables
- Optimize the use of Azure cloud services, Databricks workspaces, and supporting technologies to meet organizational goals
- Evaluate and enhance the reliability, availability, security, and performance of cloud platforms and data pipelines
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement automated deployment pipelines using tools like Terraform, Terragrunt, and CI/CD methodologies
- Conduct system assessments and recommend changes to ensure compliance, reduce risk, and improve operational efficiency
- Engage with vendors and third-party providers to manage service agreements and ensure project deliverables
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members and across teams
- Assist in project management efforts, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery of initiatives
- Perform any other job duties as requested.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Five (5) years of experience in IT roles with a focus on Databricks, Azure Cloud Services, and associated technologies
- Hands-on expertise in Azure cloud architecture and translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Project management experience is preferred
- Azure Services Administration: In-depth knowledge of Azure PaaS Services, Azure Data Platform, Azure Active Directory, Azure Monitor, and Databricks
- Cloud Architecture Design: Strong expertise in designing cloud architectures that meet business and technical requirements
- Azure DevOps Automation: Proficiency in DevOps tooling, automation, and orchestration, particularly with Terraform and Terragrunt
- Programming Languages: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in two or more of the following programming languages: Scala, Python, PowerShell, GraphQL, .NET, or C#
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF preferred
- Proven ability to manage projects effectively, balancing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality solutions
- Strong knowledge of data engineering principles, including the integration of Databricks for analytics and machine learning applications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with healthcare industry practices and managed care models
- Azure Data Engineer, Azure Solution Architect, or other relevant Infrastructure, Development, or IT Management certifications are preferred.
