Job Description
Principal Data Analyst in Analytics and Optimization area requiring 7+ years experience in data analysis. Work with socially impactful clients, leveraging data for digital fundraising and strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Work with account teams to produce reports and analyses such as: return on investment analyses, retention analyses, testing analyses and other reporting.
- Develop custom reporting dashboards (reporting, social, news, ads, etc), including managing data collection processes and procedures.
- Assist with our annual Benchmarks report, collecting, analyzing and proofing data.
- Support teams at all levels in reporting and analysis, from providing hoc training support in Excel and Google sheets to explaining complex analyses to clients and staff.
Requirements:
- 7-9 years of work experience in data analysis, with at least 5+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, or eCommerce, including familiarity with testing.
- Experience with data analysis in non-profits or political/issue campaigns.
- Experience project managing other analysts, developers, vendors, and staff on complex projects.
- Proficiency in manipulating and analyzing data in both Excel, SQL, and R or Python.
- Proven ability to break down complex data problems into smart, logical processes.
- Ability to identify and gather all requirements at the outset of a project.
- Ability to annotate data deliverables and communicate your thinking and processes to others.
- Ability to explain the necessity and methods for complex data analyses to clients and client teams.
- Knowledge of fundraising and/or e-commerce database information, and how efforts are coded and measured.
- Identified and led the implementation of new tools to provide additional services for internal or external clients.
