Job Description
Senior Professional Services Engineer responsible for designing and implementing Citrix solutions. Collaborating with teams to deliver high-quality enterprise virtual desktop infrastructure services.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design of scalable, secure, and resilient Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, and VDI architectures.
- Develop high-level and low-level designs, implementation plans, test plans, and migration strategies.
- Execute complex deployments, upgrades, and migrations of Citrix solutions including Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Workspace app, Provisioning Services (PVS), Machine Creation Services (MCS), NetScaler, and profile management.
- Lead large-scale customer engagements with ownership of project architecture, technical quality, deliverables, and timelines.
- Act as the highest-tier escalation point for Citrix and VDI-related issues.
- Provide expert guidance on best practices, performance optimization, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and operational excellence.
- Partner with customer leadership teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Deliver workshops, design sessions, and knowledge-transfer activities.
- Produce clear documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, operational guides, and executive-level summaries.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience delivering enterprise Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop or VDI-focused projects.
- Expert-level knowledge of Citrix technologies: Virtual Apps & Desktops, Workspace Environment Management (WEM), Director, NetScaler Gateway, PVS/MCS, StoreFront.
- Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory/GPO, AVD or other cloud VDI solutions, and supporting infrastructure.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills across Citrix, VDI, networking, storage, and virtualization (VMware Required, OpenStack Desired).
- Proven experience leading complex enterprise implementations and migrations.
- Strong communication skills, including experience presenting to technical and executive audiences.
