Job Description
Security Tool Engineer developing, implementing, and maintaining security tools at Inmar. Collaborating with security teams to enhance the organization's security posture through automation and integration.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain security tools and automation solutions
- Build security data integrations, automate security functions, and support security management systems
- Help develop custom security applications and ensure the integrity and security of related codebases
- Design and develop security tools and data integrations to improve security monitoring, analysis, and response capabilities
- Automate key security functions and capabilities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
- Support the development and administration of security management systems, such as ServiceNow
- Maintain and enhance custom security applications, scripts, and code bases, ensuring proper version control
- Implement and manage processes for vulnerability patching and remediation of custom security applications and tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand tool requirements and provide effective solutions
- Generate documentation of security tools and automation processes
- Monitor the performance and reliability of developed security tools, proactively addressing issues and optimizing performance
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3 or more years of experience developing and maintaining software or security tools
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python
- Experience with data integration techniques and tools
- Familiarity with automation frameworks and scripting
- Understanding of version control systems, preferably Git
- Knowledge of security concepts and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
