Job Description
Senior Business Data Analyst developing reporting and insights for Provide's product team. Collaborating with leadership to drive data-driven decision making.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze data to make proactive recommendations and solutions that enhance department performance
- Write complex SQL queries against a variety of data sources
- Build data visualizations using Tableau to enable the business to better explore data
- Work cross-functionally with multiple departments to provide required analytics and insights needed to support the business needs
- Become an expert on data and work closely with Engineering to improve data models
- Document, evaluate, and improve design of reports and processes to ensure analytical tools evolve as the business changes
- Develop trend analyses and other quantitative reports to determine business trends
- Partner with leaders to further analyze data and develop recommendations for improvement
- Lead peers in identifying key business factors impacting the business
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base on emerging issues to assist business managers in growth
- Develop recommendations and action plans to support growth and mitigate observed risks
- Develop analytical models to identify data patterns
- Manage data sources supporting incentive plan administration
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to team growth through feedback, coaching, and peer leadership
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Three (3) or more years in data analytics
- Expert-level SQL proficiency
- Expert-level Tableau proficiency
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into solutions utilizing a customer-friendly approach
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
