Job Description
Senior Compensation Consultant responsible for designing and implementing compensation programs at Providence. Collaborating with HR and management to ensure competitive and compliant compensation strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Play a vital role in the development and ongoing administration, design, analysis and implementation of Providence’s union and non-union compensation programs ensuring Providence can effectively attract, retain and motivate employees.
- Provide expert consultation to HR and management on compensation matters, offering solutions and guidance on complex issues, including union bargaining.
- Participate in the development and implementation of compensation strategies that align with business goals and ensures regulatory compliance.
- Conduct research and analysis of market survey data and trends, including annual and ad-hoc reviews, to ensure compensation is competitive, equitable and cost effective.
- Evaluate new and existing roles to determine appropriate job level, pay and incentive plan eligibility.
- Model and cost scenarios for union negotiations.
- Work collaboratively with compensation team, HR and management on projects, including major multi-cost center and system initiatives.
- Serve as the compensation subject matter expert on committees and support with orienting and training new consultants.
Requirements:
- 5 years compensation experience including data collection and analysis, working knowledge of compensation systems, wage & hour laws and exempt classifications and consulting and advising on issues pertaining to all areas of compensation management.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Social Science or related field.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation
- Compensation experience at a healthcare employer strongly preferred
- Experience supporting union bargaining, including costing and modeling
- Project management experience
