Job Description

Senior Director at Lilly leading strategy and lifecycle management of the consumer companion app. Shaping digital experience and enhancing patient engagement through innovative mobile solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the consumer companion app, aligning with Lilly's overall digital health and patient engagement objectives.
  • Lead a team of product managers, designers, and engineers to complete the product roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features and improvements.
  • Conduct thorough market research, competitive analysis, and user research to identify unmet patient needs, emerging trends, and opportunities for product differentiation.
  • Translate complex user needs and business requirements into clear, concise product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including medical, regulatory, legal, marketing, IT, and commercial to ensure product compliance, market readiness, and successful launch.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (critical metrics) for the app, analyzing data to identify insights, optimize user experience, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead the full product lifecycle from ideation and discovery through development, launch, optimization, and eventual sunsetting.
  • Serve as a primary advocate for the consumer companion app, communicating its value proposition and impact to internal collaborators and external partners.
  • Develop a culture of innovation, collaboration, and patient-centricity within the product team.
  • Handle budgets, resources, and vendor relationships related to app development and maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years experience
  • Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Experience leading consumer-facing digital solutions.
  • Track record of successfully launching and scaling impactful digital products in a regulated industry, preferably healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
  • Familiarity with mobile app ecosystems (iOS, Android), modern product development methodologies (Agile/Scrum), and user-centered design principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute product strategy, build roadmaps, and manage a product backlog.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, FDA guidelines) in a digital health context is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with external partners, agencies, and technology vendors.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
