Job Description
Senior Software Engineer developing backend services for a high-frequency trading scale-up with a focus on Java/Kotlin. Involves ownership of technical direction and project management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop real-time, high-performance backend services for a fast-growing start/scale-up in high-frequency trading
- Take ownership of platform's technical direction and manage development projects end-to-end
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5-7 years, backend focused, development experience
- Senior Java/Kotlin developer with deep expertise in building high-performance distributed, backend services
- Proven track record working with event sourcing and Cloud-native infrastructure
- Designing scalable system architectures and optimizing complex codebases for speed, reliability, and maintainability
- Strong expertise in JVM, CI/CD, Terraform/IaC, Kafka considered a big advantage
- Experience with microservices architecture, distributed and data-heavy applications
- Experience with cloud-native development (GCP or AWS)
- Based in The Netherlands and without need for sponsorship
