Job Description
Senior Manager in litigation at American Family Insurance overseeing complex claims adjudication. Leading teams to ensure service excellence and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- provide leadership for staff whose primary tasks are the adjudication and settlement of claims
- manage the authority, guidance, and direction to Staff Council
- create a collaborative, performance-driven work environment
- communicate and support our organizations mission, vision, values and practices
- lead teams to ensure delivery of services that exceed customer expectations
- maintain awareness of existing and proposed legislation, court decisions and latest trends in claims litigation
- participate in corporate claims initiatives including quality file handling, process improvement, training, and development of staff
- prepare and manage annual operating budget
- identify and implement opportunities for process improvements
Requirements:
- demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service
- demonstrated extensive knowledge of office and field claim handling processes
- demonstrated thorough understanding of policy language, coverages and underwriting intent
- demonstrated time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere company productivity guidelines
- demonstrated claims handling experience and licensing
- demonstrated ability to recognize developing problems/conflicts and ability to resolve
- obtain state specific property casualty claims licensing as required
- valid driver's license required plus an acceptable driving record
