Job Description
Senior Mendix Developer designing and delivering low-code applications for Weekday's clients. Collaborating with cross-functional teams for integrating enterprise systems like Siemens Opcenter.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using the Mendix low-code platform.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and UX/UI designers to gather requirements and deliver user-centric solutions.
- Integrate Mendix applications with Siemens Opcenter (Discrete/Process) and other enterprise environments.
- Develop and manage interfaces using REST, SOAP, OData APIs, and various database connections.
- Implement best practices for application architecture, security, and performance optimization.
- Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to overall team capability building.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensure effective version control, and follow application lifecycle management processes.
- Stay updated with Mendix platform advancements and related technologies, including MES/Opcenter.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of software/application development experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Mendix, including advanced capabilities.
- Mendix Advanced Developer Certification (Expert level preferred).
- Working knowledge or practical experience with Siemens Opcenter Execution (Discrete or Process).
- Strong understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and integration workflows.
- Familiarity with API development, data modelling, and integration design.
- Proficiency in application architecture and enterprise-level solution design.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps/CI-CD practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or SAP Cloud is preferred.
- Exposure to manufacturing industry use cases and plant operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is preferred.
- Knowledge of enterprise-level security standards, performance tuning, and compliance is preferred.
- Experience leading Mendix or MES-based programs or project teams is preferred.
