Job Description
Senior Product Manager focusing on building and scaling incentives programs at Coinbase. Leading a cross-functional team to enhance user engagement and maximize lifetime value through innovative incentive strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Define and Build the "Incentive Primitives" from 0-to-1: This is the core of the role. You will lead the 0-to-1 design and build of the reusable "LEGO bricks" for the entire engine. You'll partner with Engineering to invent and launch the very first versions of core components, like advanced targeting/eligibility logic, a library of payout models, and standardized campaign management tools.
- Build the "Incentives Engine" Vision: You will use your deep, hands-on learnings to define and own the 0-to-1 strategy for our new "incentives-as-a-service" engine. Your goal is to enable teams across Coinbase to launch high-ROI campaigns in days, not months.
- Create the Intelligence Layer: Partner with Data Science to build the analytics and optimization layer for all incentives. You will define the data models and A/B testing frameworks required to rigorously measure ROI from day one.
- Partner with Risk & Compliance: Lead the deep integration with our core risk and compliance systems to proactively prevent fraud and abuse, ensuring your engine is secure and scalable.
- Lead Cross-Functional Execution: You will lead and align a large, cross-functional team of engineering, design, data science, risk, marketing, and finance partners to build and scale this critical, company-wide infrastructure.
- Understand your product’s strategic and competitive position and deliver results in the context of broader organizational strategies and goals
Requirements:
- 6+ years of product management experience, preferably on a high-performing Growth team at a consumer tech company.
- An entrepreneurial "0-to-1" mindset. You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and "do the job" manually first (like running an incentive program) before you build the technology to automate it.
- Deep "1-to-N" Systems Thinking. You are a natural systems thinker. You see the one-off solution as a prototype for the scalable, reusable "engine" and "primitives" you will build next.
- Direct experience in the Growth, Promotions, or Incentives space. You have built or managed systems related to rewards, user bonuses, loyalty programs, or complex pricing.
- Deeply analytical, with a proven ability to partner with Data Science to build measurement and A/B testing frameworks from the ground up.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication, relationship management, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to lead complex, multi-quarter, cross-functional projects.
