Job Description

Senior Product Manager leading development of product strategies for life science reagents at Avantor. Responsible for shaping reagent portfolio and driving growth in a remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Owns product line performance, including pricing strategy, margin optimization, and forecasting to meet financial targets and support business expansion.
  • Collaborates with suppliers, marketing, sales, regulatory, and operations teams to drive product development, launch, and lifecycle management.
  • Engages with researchers, lab managers, and industry stakeholders to gather insights and translate them into product requirements and innovation opportunities.
  • Leads development of product roadmap based on deep understanding of life science reagents market and right to win.
  • Monitors scientific advancements, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Defines launch plans, messaging, and positioning in collaboration with marketing and sales to ensure successful product introductions and adoption.
  • Identifies unmet needs in research workflows and contributes to ideation and prioritization of new products or enhancements through phased stage gate process.
  • Manages relationships with external suppliers, OEMs, and collaborators to support product development and expand reagent offerings.
  • Promotes a culture of integrity, curiosity, and collaboration within the team, encouraging cross-functional engagement and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life science discipline required (e.g. Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience including: Biopharma, biotechnology, or environmental testing industry
  • Direct portfolio ownership/product management experience
  • Ability to travel up to 30% (domestically & internationally)
  • Direct management experience
  • Strategy development
  • Experience with Power BI tool
