Job Description
Software Engineer designing and implementing scalable backend systems for Netflix's Ads Creatives & Policy team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for the Ads Creatives & Policy team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives.
- Implement and optimize ad creative lifecycle management, including ingestion, encoding, review, and CDN deployments.
- Develop systems and tooling to automate and scale the creative process for advertisers.
- Reduce friction in creating creatives for custom formats and enhance asset portability using creative development tooling, including genAI as appropriate.
- Build and enhance manual workflows and automated review systems that rely on ML and creative understanding to improve SLAs.
- Ensure compliance of ad campaigns and creatives with Netflix policy, brand safety guidelines, and global/local laws and regulations.
- Stay informed about industry trends and technologies, particularly in the programmatic ecosystem.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on backend development.
- Strong product mindset with experience in delivering large, complex projects in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders (technology, operations, or business-focused).
- General understanding of the advertising marketplace and landscape.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking with demonstrated product sense and leadership in the working environment.
- Experience in building ad creative lifecycle management, including ingestion, encoding, review, and managing and optimizing CDN deployments.
- Familiarity or experience with OpenRTB, AdCOM specs, and the overall programmatic ecosystem.
