Job Description
Supervisory Analyst role at BMO ensuring compliance with regulatory rules and firm policies while collaborating with research and compliance teams. Involves leadership in strategic planning and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews and approves research communications and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory rules and firm policies and procedures
- Works closely with research analysts, compliance and production teams to ensure smooth review of analysts’ communications and reports
- Recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business
- Assists in the development of strategic plans
- Researches existing or emerging requirements & related best practices to assist and develops recommendations for changes/enhancements
- Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards
- Leads process improvements and special projects, designing effective and sustainable solutions
- Maintains close relationship with Control Room to ensure research products are reviewed in accordance with regulatory and firm guidelines
- Develops and maintains in-depth knowledge of business and regulatory requirements
- Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders
Requirements:
- Typically between 8 - 10 years of relevant experience
- Post-secondary degree in related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience as a research equity analyst required
- Series 16 license required
- In-depth understanding of regulatory guidelines
- Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under tight deadlines
- Able to work a flexible/rotational schedule
- Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience
