Tech Lead – Backend Gaming Services Integrations

Job Description
Tech Lead managing the architecture and integration with external backend gaming services at Xsolla. Leading tech strategy, ensuring robust solutions, and mentoring engineers in the gaming ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Lead technical strategy and architecture for integrations with third-party backend gaming service providers.
- Design robust, scalable solutions that connect external game backend services with Xsolla’s ecosystem.
- Act as the primary subject-matter expert on backend gaming systems.
- Collaborate with external provider teams and internal Xsolla product/engineering groups.
- Ensure secure, reliable, and efficient data flows across all integration surfaces.
- Mentor engineers, lead code reviews, and promote best practices in software architecture.
- Improve observability, monitoring, and deployment stability across integrated systems.
Requirements:
- Deep understanding of game backend systems and services (identity, entitlements, inventory, progression, matchmaking, etc.)
- Proven experience designing integrations between large-scale platforms or distributed systems
- Proven experience SDK/API design skills and experience with microservices architectures
- Familiarity with cloud-native environments, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
- Excellent communication, cross-team collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
