Job Description
Accountant ensuring accurate international accounting and reporting for Doonails, a growing beauty e-commerce and retail startup. Optimizing finance processes, tax compliance, and automation.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor all financial transactions and ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping in accordance with applicable local standards for the corporate group, including international entities
- Maintain and continuously develop accounting structures
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders
- Contribute to group accounting, including intercompany transactions
- Further develop internal accounting processes and reporting tools, including automation and the use of AI
- Collaborate with international tax advisors
- Communicate with tax authorities and ensure compliance with international tax requirements
- Support the preparation of annual financial statements and audits
- Proactively optimize and automate accounting processes
- Provide accurate reports to support data-driven management of the company’s growth
Requirements:
- 2–4 years of professional experience in accounting or financial management
- Completed degree in accounting, finance, or a comparable field
- Strong knowledge of international accounting and tax law
- Experience working with tax advisors and authorities, ideally in an international environment
- Excellent analytical skills
- Structured, precise, and solution-oriented approach to work
- Hands-on mentality and a high degree of ownership
- Very good written and spoken German and English
