Job Description

Licensed brokerage operations professional answering calls and processing complex account transactions for Thrivent, a membership-owned financial services organization. Providing accurate service remotely to members, field professionals, and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming member and field phone calls
  • Process new account documents, maintenance requests, transfers, and distributions
  • Analyze and process non-routine and complex new business and service transactions, including not-in-good-order items
  • Make outbound calls as required
  • Provide services as part of a brokerage operations functional team
  • Assist team members, manage workflow, flex for functional coverage, and collaborate with service teams
  • Maintain understanding of brokerage operations products, services, affiliated NFS and Thrivent systems, and operational policies and procedures
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with field professionals, the clearing firm, and internal business units
  • Analyze, approve, and provide timely service while meeting service-level timeframes
  • Communicate account operational status accurately and clearly to field representatives and clients
  • Achieve or exceed department quality standards
  • Support development of policies, procedures, and quality assessments

Requirements:

  • High school education
  • 1–2 years of related experience
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63/65, or Series 66, required or obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, and applicable financial reporting tools
  • Ability to work day and/or evening shifts according to volume forecasts
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, full time
  • After training, ability to work a schedule between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Central
