Job Description
AI systems engineer building automation, content workflows, and infrastructure for Platform Engineering’s 35,000+ platform-engineer community. Fully remote across Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Own the technical infrastructure behind content and design operations from planning and research through AI-assisted production, quality control, publishing, and distribution
- Take technical ownership of the content and design factory, including tooling selection, automation pipelines, quality management, and agent orchestration
- Design and develop complex multistep content and design creation workflows and interfaces through structuring, prompting, and QA
- Build skills in model harnesses and external content workflow tools such as AirOps and n8n
- Design user journeys and create UI integrations into existing solutions such as Supabase databases
- Build and maintain UIs and interfaces for workflows and databases, including search, data export, and importing data into other workflows
- Keep the technology stack modular and replaceable by continuously evaluating tools and changing them before dependency develops
- Reduce manual overhead by building automations and agent workflows that replace repetitive processes
- Collaborate with leadership as a peer on architectural decisions and infrastructure direction
- Enable a community of 35,000+ platform engineers worldwide
Requirements:
- Strong technical background in database schemas, REST/GraphQL API integrations, RAG/vector database design and implementation, and automation pipelines
- Fluency with AI as a development tool, including Claude Code, Cursor, or similar
- Understanding of professional content creation, including structure, tonality, narrative, and differentiating high-quality content
- Commercial mindset and strong prioritization
- Ability to own a roadmap and hold architecture conversations with leadership
- Strong software engineering fundamentals
- Comfortable writing, reviewing, and maintaining production code
- Ability to work fully remotely across Europe
