Job Description
AI Manager leading operational strategy for artificial intelligence at Baptist Health. Responsible for managing AI initiatives and collaboration across departments to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Play a hands-on, operational leadership role in advancing the organization’s applied artificial intelligence strategy across clinical, operational, and administrative domains
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of AI initiatives, supporting the full AI algorithm lifecycle—from intake and evaluation through deployment, monitoring, and optimization
- Work closely with clinical leaders, operational stakeholders, IT, Informatics, Legal, Risk, and external AI vendors to ensure AI tools are safe, effective, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals
- Ensure that AI delivers real, measurable value while maintaining trust, safety, and operational excellence
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, Engineering, Informatics, Healthcare or Business Administration
- 5+ years of experience
- Experience working with EHR integrated AI tools or clinical decision support systems
- Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, model risk management, or algorithm oversight processes
- Experience collaborating with AI vendors, startups, or health technology partners
- Knowledge of healthcare privacy, security and regulatory considerations related to AI
- PMP, Lean, Six Sigma or similar project management training
