Job Description
AI Strategist helping WON redesign retail and consumer business operations with applied AI. Owning client discovery, business cases, delivery direction, and measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Run long-term client programs across Experience Intelligence and Operational Intelligence areas rather than point solutions
- Lead discovery across customer experience, marketing operations, forecasting, and inventory
- Benchmark business performance and identify expansion opportunities
- Maintain recurring client touchpoints and stay embedded in clients’ internal channels
- Build the business case for scoped work, including expected business impact, delivery cost, and measurement approach
- Write precise specifications for specialist engineers and analysts
- Direct delivery across concurrent projects
- Drive adoption after systems launch
- Own client relationships, discovery, business cases, delivery direction, and business outcomes
- Run multiple accounts while maintaining quality, client trust, and margin
- Report to the AI Practices Lead
Requirements:
- Startup experience, either building or operating a startup
- Experience owning a United States client relationship entirely remotely
- Client-facing experience and maturity to lead executive conversations
- Ability to challenge clients constructively and refocus discussions on business problems
- Deeply AI-native experience with AI-enabled tools, products, or workflows actually built
- Ability to demo and explain an Applied AI case study project
- Technical and analytical fluency in agent systems, data connections, backend architectures, APIs, and implementation tradeoffs
- SQL/Python experience is valuable
- Ability to read a P&L
- Ability to explain how a Shopify or e-commerce business makes money
- Ability to build financial models
- Bonus: experience inside a consumer or e-commerce brand on the operator side
- Bonus: published writing or talks on applied AI
