Job Description

AI Team Lead leading engineers and delivering automation, RPA, and LLM solutions. Driving AI strategy and adoption across Immense Group’s iGaming business.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the design, delivery, and adoption of AI-powered solutions across the business, including RPA, process automation, LLM-based tooling, and integrations
  • Lead, hire, coach, and mentor a team of AI and Software Engineers
  • Own the team's technical strategy and roadmap for AI adoption, automation, and tooling in partnership with business stakeholders
  • Translate business priorities into a resourced and prioritised delivery plan
  • Report progress, risk, and capacity to leadership
  • Own architectural and design decisions for AI-driven systems, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability
  • Evaluate AI tools, models, and vendors, including LLM providers and RPA platforms
  • Own build-vs-buy and cost/risk trade-offs for AI usage across engineering
  • Set and drive engineering best practices for code quality, testing, review standards, and responsible AI tooling use
  • Act as an escalation point for technical blockers, cross-team dependencies, and delivery risk
  • Partner with other Team Leads to share standards, avoid duplicated effort, and align on approach
  • Stay current on emerging AI/LLM developments and assess worthwhile adoption versus hype
  • Perform other tasks or responsibilities related to the AI Team Lead role

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading or managing a team of engineers, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
  • 5+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, or automation, including at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead capacity
  • Experience directing or overseeing AI/LLM-based initiatives or automation programmes
  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and leadership, translating technical and AI concepts into terms non-technical audiences can act on
  • Experience evaluating vendors, tools, or build-vs-buy decisions against cost, capability, and risk
  • Working knowledge of modern software engineering practices, including version control, code review, testing, and CI/CD
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to balance multiple team priorities at once
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
