Job Description
Part-time Air Technical Consultant supporting national air permitting and compliance services at Brown and Caldwell, an environmental engineering firm. Advising multidisciplinary teams on regulatory, technical, and strategic environmental solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and leadership to teams delivering air permitting and compliance services nationally
- Support client success across private-sector and municipal utility projects
- Collaborate with environmental compliance and permitting teams and other subject matter specialists
- Provide high-level advisory support using deep technical expertise, business acumen, and a consultative approach
- Collaborate with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams to inform decisions and guide complex technical considerations
- Advise on emerging technologies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to organizational thought leadership through knowledge sharing and subject matter insight
- Execute additional assignments based on evolving organizational needs
Requirements:
- 20+ years of professional experience in a related role
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or relevant related field
- Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail
- Advanced technical expertise within a relevant technical services discipline
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to apply technical knowledge in a business-aware, consultative manner
- Advanced communication skills with diverse technical and non-technical audiences
- Sound professional judgment and discretion
- Ability to work independently and adapt engagement based on organizational needs
- Must complete a pre-employment background check and drug test
