Job Description
Registered Architect leading technical building design projects for Salas O’Brien, an employee-owned engineering and professional services firm. Coordinating teams, clients, BIM deliverables, quality reviews, and construction administration across multiple regions.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate a team of professionals performing highly technical design projects across multiple geographic regions
- Lead client meetings and communications to maintain strong client relationships through attentive, result-oriented service
- Develop project priorities and schedules for program deliverables, review meetings with key stakeholders, and bidding/construction procurement
- Provide team training and conduct Quality Control / Assurance reviews to efficiently develop and deliver consistent documents to program stakeholders
- Support construction through timely responses to RFIs, submittal reviews, approved change-order processing, and monthly draw requests
Requirements:
- Must be a Registered Architect
- 5–10 years of experience in commercial, industrial design, government/federal, telecom, or data center projects
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other visualization tools
- Understanding of building codes and ADA requirements
- Proficiency in Revit within a collaborative BIM environment
- NCARB Certification is a plus
- DBIA or PMP Certification, or extensive progressive design-build experience, is a plus
- Autodesk BIM Certification is a plus
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- High attention to detail in an iterative, fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and collaboration skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, learn quickly, and adapt to changes
- Self-motivated, professional, and customer-service oriented
