Job Description
Associate Director leading experience design strategy for Kyndryl’s technology consulting clients. Guiding human-centered, ethical AI adoption across complex engagements and design teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall design vision for complex client projects
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-impact design solutions
- Develop design strategies aligned with customer business goals
- Integrate design strategies into broader technology and innovation strategies
- Manage and mentor junior design team members
- Provide coaching and guidance to elevate team skills and performance
- Build relationships with senior client stakeholders
- Ensure design direction aligns with clients' strategic vision
- Drive design thinking across the organization
- Advocate for integrating design principles throughout project delivery
- Shape organizational strategy for AI adoption in design
- Influence design processes and culture
- Ensure design teams are proficient in AI and understand its ethical implications
- Guide frameworks for human/AI interaction and prioritize human-in-the-loop
- Advocate for responsible AI use in client engagements and internal practices
- Set clear standards and foster continuous learning and adoption in AI-driven design
Requirements:
- Deep understanding of human-centered design methods and mindset
- Experience aligning stakeholders through workshops and collaborative sessions
- Ability to communicate clearly and compellingly through storytelling
- Ability to design and conduct generative and evaluative user research
- Ability to create context-appropriate, low-to-high fidelity prototypes
- Expertise in information design and visual communication
- Ability to leverage AI tools while maintaining quality and ethical standards
- 10+ years experience
- Deep industry vertical experience
- Experience in both enterprise and agency worlds
- Knowledge and experience in IT infrastructure or other technical applications
- Knowledge of human behavior, change management, or other applied social sciences
- Data science, AI/ML background
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent portfolio
- Preferred education: MDM, MDes, MFA, dMBA or equivalent
