Job Description
Strategic sourcing executive leading procurement, contracting, and vendor consolidation for Prime Therapeutics, a pharmacy benefits manager. Optimizing supplier spend, risk management, and enterprise sourcing systems.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the strategic sourcing, contracting management, and procurement teams
- Influence business partners in a fast-paced, matrixed environment for optimal business outcomes
- Assess and implement appropriate contracting tools and software
- Execute a sourcing and vendor consolidation strategy to manage supplier spend across corporate and operations contracting
- Develop and implement a strategy to transform and optimize strategic sourcing, contracting, and procurement
- Drive efficiency and reduce friction through process improvements
- Implement long-term vendor consolidation focused on operational and strategic alignment, vendor value, spend optimization, and cost reduction
- Explore, assess, and implement contracting enhancement tools, including repositories, progress tracking, dashboards, contract abstracting, pricing evaluations, and predictive workloads
- Partner with vendor management, vendor performance, finance, legal, and operations stakeholders on automated solutions, integrations, and enterprise vendor strategies
- Direct and collaborate with the enterprise-wide vendor risk management program and report outcomes to committees and the vendor board
- Partner with Legal on contract templates and direct development and execution of standards, controls, policies, procedures, and performance metrics
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and guide direct reports on process and system improvements
- Manage department budget, staffing, performance, and development
- Demonstrate Prime’s leadership expectations with direct reports, cross-functional stakeholders, and external stakeholders
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in sourcing, accounting, finance, economics, or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- 12 years of progressive work experience leading/managing diverse teams across sourcing, finance, systems management, etc.
- 8 years of leadership/people management experience
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship
- Strong understanding of contracting management practice and tools
- Experience assessing, developing future state recommendations and implementing ERP and reporting systems
- Ability to establish rapport, build relationships, and collaborate effectively across departments and at all levels within the organization
- Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills with the ability to lead and drive change
- Proven experience inspiring cross-functional teams to meet business objectives with outstanding results
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and consultative skills
- Ability to distill complex concepts or situations into concise and compelling communications for technical and non-technical audiences
- Master’s degree in business or related area of study preferred
- Broad experience across contracting management tools such as Cobblestone, DocuSign, Salesforce, etc.
- Must comply with security responsibilities, applicable legal, regulatory, contractual requirements, and internal policies and procedures
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job
