Job Description
Backend Java/Kotlin engineer developing enterprise applications for ALTEN’s engineering and IT services clients. Designing APIs, collaborating with customers, and resolving complex technical issues.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade Java/Kotlin applications
- Work closely with customers to understand business needs and gather technical requirements
- Attend technical discussions and propose appropriate software solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, architects, QA engineers, and other developers
- Produce clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive them to resolution
Requirements:
- 4+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong expertise in Java, Kotlin and object-oriented software design
- Extensive experience building and maintaining large-scale enterprise applications
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and enterprise Java development
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
