Job Description

Behavior Specialist providing telehealth support and psychoeducational groups at Rogers Behavioral Health. Collaborating virtually to facilitate behavioral interventions and support efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide virtual psychoeducational groups to patients, according to clinical standards of care and under the supervision of the Clinical leader
  • Use video calls to gain insights into the patient's home environment and identify potential triggers or supports
  • Guide patients through in-the-moment skill practice for real-world situations
  • Understand the nuances of facilitating a virtual group, moving multiple patients to break out rooms
  • Master the virtual care platform's features to enhance therapeutic sessions
  • Develop and communicate clear plans with patients for technical disruptions
  • Utilize secure messaging or patient portals to provide timely support
  • Virtually observe and provide real-time feedback on a patient's behavior
  • Develop and share digital resources to support patient learning
  • Implement and train on a virtual crisis protocol
  • Participate in supervision sessions with the Clinical leader
  • Document mental health services according to applicable regulations
  • Communicate treatment interventions and support needs for assigned caseload

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (human services, psychology, social work, or related field)
  • Must hold a valid Substance Abuse Counselor-in-Training credential (or state equivalent), if working in an Addiction Recovery program that requires this
  • Relevant Cognitive-Behavioral Treatment (CBT) experience (12 months preferred)
  • Relevant experience may include clinical care, human services, or educational equivalent
  • Compliance with Residential Care Center (RCC) and Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF) (Required for Residential Inpatient programs, preferred for all levels of care)
  • Training on telehealth platform and technical troubleshooting with patients
