Job Description
Benefits consultant supporting Western U.S. executives with benefits education and financial planning. Building relationships, developing business, and resolving complex client issues at Fidelity.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate relationships with executives covered by Fidelity's Executive Services offering
- Partner with Executive Planning Consultants and work exclusively with plan participants
- Deepen client relationships and help acquire new executives
- Develop understanding of retail brokerage, workplace-sponsored savings plans, and equity compensation
- Provide benefits education and financial planning advice to executives
- Implement a structured client contact strategy
- Conduct guidance preparation discussions with clients
- Identify potential new business and deepen existing relationships
- Develop segmented marketing initiatives with Executive Planning Consultants
- Ensure calls, paperwork, policies, and procedures comply with customer-request and compliance requirements
- Recommend actions to improve relationships and the client experience
- Resolve or escalate complex client issues and deliver problem resolution
- Serve workplace plan executives as a point of contact for benefits and plan provisions related to financial planning
Requirements:
- Series 7 and Series 66 are required; Series 66 may be obtained within a defined period of time from hire
- 4-year college degree preferred
- Industry designations such as Certified Financial Planner and Certified Equity Professionals highly encouraged
- Knowledge of brokerage, insurance, money management, estate planning, financial planning, and retirement planning
- Demonstrated success in relationship management
- Ability to consult with clients and deliver highly personalized value to executives
- Ability to provide education and advice in appropriate situations
- Ability to comply with financial-services laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Must meet applicable hiring and association restrictions related to certain criminal histories
