Job Description

Bilingual insurance agent selling Massachusetts personal auto policies for Amparo, a multilingual auto insurance company. Quoting prospects, managing sales cycles, and advising clients in Portuguese or Spanish.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for future policyholders
  • Quote new personal lines auto insurance to prospecting clients
  • Manage the full sales cycle through phone, text, and email
  • Maintain relationships with clients and dealers and communicate promptly throughout the process
  • Respond to inbound and outbound calls, texts, and emails requesting new personal auto insurance quotes
  • Receive information and prepare quotes based on driving information and other rating criteria while following underwriting guidelines
  • Obtain and collect supporting documentation, including drivers’ licenses and proof of license history
  • Run vendor reports to verify client-provided insurance and driving history information
  • Advise clients on appropriate insurance coverage and options
  • Help clients navigate questions before and after policy issuance
  • Build trust in the community as the “Go To” for auto insurance
  • Collaborate with the CEO, underwriters, claims representatives, and inside sales/customer service members
  • Report to the Assistant Manager of Operations

Requirements:

  • Full Property & Casualty Producers License required
  • Portuguese and/or Spanish Speaking proficiency required
  • 1 year of sales experience in the insurance industry required
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Strong engaging interpersonal and persuasion skills needed to close sales
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment managing multiple priorities
  • Attention to detail ensuring accuracy
  • Highly self-motivated and self-disciplined with the ability to work effectively and independently
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of all insurance policies preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
