Job Description

Business Analyst implementing and evaluating federal financial systems for Ascella Technologies. Translating requirements, governing data, and supporting audit-ready operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead analytical work to design, adapt, and test financial systems as federal policy changes
  • Manage system descriptions and data elements to maintain a single source of truth
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Build consensus between accountants, budget analysts, and IT teams for system upgrades
  • Author SOPs and training materials
  • Support audit readiness through documentation and governance
  • Investigate, document, and resolve complex data discrepancies across interconnected systems
  • Translate technical system impacts into clear business terms for senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship (dual citizens not eligible)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Accounting, Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • 5+ years of experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and system design within a financial or enterprise environment
  • Proven track record supporting the implementation, upgrade, or maintenance of large-scale financial management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate, document, and resolve complex data discrepancies across interconnected systems
  • Excellence in translating technical system impacts into clear business terms for senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with Momentum Financials or Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) Finance
  • Subject matter expertise in Accounts Receivable modules or federal accounting principles
  • Familiarity with federal financial reporting structures (e.g., USSGL)
