Job Description
Business Analyst improving IT systems for Republic Services, an environmental services company. Gathering requirements, analyzing solutions, and supporting testing and implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze the needs of various functional business areas within Republic Services and recommend system solutions or procedures
- Liaise between the business and IT department
- Document, communicate, and validate requested application process enhancements or modifications
- Facilitate system enhancement requests and coordinate enhancement release schedules with product owners and stakeholders
- Obtain functional requirements from business stakeholders and subject matter experts using elicitation techniques
- Research and analyze proposed projects to determine feasibility
- Create detailed user-requirements documentation and document functional and non-functional specifications with the development team
- Support quality assurance, control, data analysis, and profiling during pre- and post-implementation reviews
- Support functional and user acceptance testing throughout the development life cycle
- Provide status reporting, knowledge transfer, and implementation plans
- Build and maintain relationships with software application vendors and implementation partners
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Experience using Structured Query Language (SQL) for data analysis
- Business Analysis or Project Management Professional certification
- 2 - 4 years of experience in a business or technical analysis role
